DIY Raw African Black Soap Shampoo
DIY African Black Soap Shampoo

This Do It Yourself shampoo gently cleanses hair from constant product build-up. Unlike other shampoos it does not strip your hair or leave it feeling dry. The mixture of oils is what makes this shampoo exceptional. It reduces dryness and adds great moisture so I recommended adding as many oils as you would like.
Ingredients and Application Method
African Black Soap Shampoo
  1. 1 oz raw African black soap shaved into piece into a mason jar (smaller shavings dissolves faster). Add as little or as much hot water as you would like depending the consistency you would like.
  2. Add the oils. 2 tbsp. Jojoba oil, 1 tsp argon oil, 10 drops vitamin E oil, 10 drops rosemary oil, 10 drops peppermint oil, 1.5 tbsp olive oil and 5 drops lavender oil. You may use alternative oils if you do not have what is listed.
  3. Stir and immediately you will see the soap develop to a lovely lather.
  4. Let is sit for at least 4 hours to allow the suds to dissolve.  Use as you would any regular shampoo.
  5. Store in the fridge when not in use.

African black soap has many medicinal properties due to it’s many organic materials.  It is a high source of iron and vitamins A and E. It helps with dandruff, kills bacteria and fungi, relieves itching and stimulates the scalp to promote hair growth.
